Test Confidence - Hints N Tips

Setup Aspects

Setting up the environment where testing is performed is generally straight forward. A supplied install process will build the local elements with some manual follow-on actions: defining a zOS© LogStream; updating //STEPLIB references.

The reporting side is expected to be a Windows© virtual|real instance with MySQL© and Apache© HTTP + PHP© available. Your local service people should setup and configure this with you having Administrator powers. Exploring the WAMP server idea may help explain this nominal setup.
Being able to transfer files from the testing to the reporting environments expects to have FTP available.

Ongoing Operation

A simple auto-scheduler is included with the reporting pieces to keep the data regularly refreshed. This obtains testing artifacts at regular (hourly) intervals and updates the database and reports.
